Are we witnessing a change of business? A change of consciousness? Economic change? A change in humanity? What the hell is going on? From my point of view, and those of my colleagues, that's all that and much more.
Every day in the media, we see a world in chaos. We see a changing world. A world where not only the younger generation to show what is out of balance, they are carrying the burden of a new way of being, a new mentality, so to speak. However, it is not just the younger generation, but also includes people who have a clearer picture of who are more "aware" of changes that must occur to get you all again in a more balanced be, to live and do business. It is in the heart of the company in the world begins to change.
Unfortunately, we have to go through the process of chaos before we can begin the process of transformation. This is a natural phenomenon. In fact, according to natural law "Chaos always precedes transformation." Since we are a part of the earth, it is also true for us. This change occurs at all levels and in all sectors. Including leading business people, what I call "The Collective enterprises."
According to many experts, "the companies", a group of large companies, is stuck thinking in Time Warp. Imagine someone who today are in their 60's floral shirts, leather jackets with fringe, peace sign belt around his neck, saying peace and groovy! It would be an observer to keep them "stuck" in time? Time Warp, the company is locked in the collective is obvious to some, but the subtleties to notice a large majority. Most people who speak only to indicate that something is not "feel". I'm depressed and disappointed with the companies that demonstrate a lack of greed and lack of integrity is linked to something other than the bottom line. Profits and shareholder value will continue to drive key business decisions, and a little 'thought for the Community, the individual's life, or socio-economic consequences. Most people would say: "This is capitalism, makes our country is celebrated."
Okay! But over time from the early 19th century until today, the legal entity acquired more and more freedoms, rights and privileges, while individuals appear to have less and less. Maybe something is out of balance?
Do not give up what capitalism is not what I'm saying is that we are able to plan and shape below. Jeff Klein, a founder of capitalism conscious and the author of "Working for Good: Making a difference at the same time the Living", shares his readers a lot of ideas about conscious capitalism, which has a significant impact on the business. Capitalism conscious, value for shareholders has more investors or shareholders. E 'for all concerned. According to the definition of capitalism Aware - shareholders are the obvious players, more directors, employees, customers, suppliers, partners, competitors and the community. This is a different way of thinking and think about the business. Apparently it is a more holistic approach.
Leadership and its development can be seen over time. The industrial revolution, second industrial revolution (which is also known as the technological revolution), through the digital era, and now the information age. Or can it? The industrial way of thinking has its roots in business management for mechanical systems ". Factory style or approach to mechanical thought process, procedures and management control of every aspect of this business we see this problem most often tightening rules and supervision of employees this way of thinking accidentally mixed with the control against the order .. Many managers believe also that to maintain order, are in power, through close monitoring. But at the same time, they are marketed point of view of the company is the "employer of Choice" culture and "Empowering Employees" is their mantra. At the center, all the beautiful words, or empowerment is low and negligible at best.
The results of a Gallup poll, 70% of employees in some degree of disengagement. The levels consist of something offline actively disengaged. (These are the employees who cause more problems in an organization.) Are we really stuck in this mindset old? In my experience, I (25 years of leadership Corporate Business) would say yes. It has been hidden over time, but the foundations are still mechanical and control. The old mentality running a business is no longer valid.
We are entering a new era. This new era is forged from the information age, the new generation of workers entering the workplace, current economic conditions and the chaos that permeates the world's governments. There is no formal description or title, but some speak of him as "conscious evolution" or "quantum mind", an era that includes the concepts of conscious capitalism. Its core is more consistent with true connection and purposes, through cooperation, compassion, co-creation, community, and much more. Compared to the collective enterprise, they are still new concepts, and most major act as if these ideas have no influence on their business or they are afraid of losing control and profits. But there are some companies who understand this change, this new era, either directly or intuitively, or both, and stand out from the collective agreement. Google, Whole Foods, The Container Store, Amazon, Zappos just to name a few.
And more companies are now caught on and was a huge success of this strategy and the way you work. Transforming unconscious mechanical power to display their business even more determined and conscious way.
Despite enter the new era, we have a long way to go on this trip. I think it's worth. If we can adopt a new mindset and a new focus on business to change its course ... can change the world.
