Making Presentations Dynamite

Six Tips for Being a speaker will remember .... In a good way!

Believe it or not, after 25 years and 60 000 people every year, I'm still nervous. And I do not want the opposite. I will always have that edge is scary to me on my toes and never lets me take my work or my audience for granted. But ... I certainly learned to overcome great fear and "act" cool, calm and collected. But fear is not a concern only speaker. You might be worried about your message. Is it hit home? Are they right? Will they see you as a credible expert who they want to learn? Chairman of success today needs both substance and style to make an audience sit up and take notice and want to return.

The reality is, most people today are increasingly required to be performed more often - and for many of you, your work and income depend on it. I am asked all the members of the public and customers time, "Connie, how can I be a better speaker?" Well, I can certainly help to achieve the sharing some of my secrets to success. Ready? The first ....

Hold your nervousness. Stop being so hard on yourself to feel on edge. We know that all the people who admire to be just the beginning. Public speaking is the # 1 People are afraid. Are removed for you. And they are very happy that you are not they, who must give the presentation. Take a deep breath and stop all negative thoughts. I promise that if you integrate the following tips to calm your nerves and your brain will take over and give you the power to make like a pro.

As a motivational speaker veteran of 25 years - Here are my top six tips to give a powerful presentation ...

1. Give them what they need and want: Believe me, people today do not have the rah-rah time speaker, who says just as if you want bad enough, the right attitude and wants it all really strong that you want to become a reality simply fall on his knees. Really? This is real audiences and real problems that need real solutions, if you can focus on helping their success by providing them with strategies and tools that can be implemented immediately - they love you. Make sure your message moves people to act, which then leads to better results. It 'nice to be an exciting - but the public now wants to know the benefits to them in front. What can you do? How you can help them achieve more, achieve more, more? They offer, and you gave them to eat from your hands.

2. IT them, not you. I have heard many speakers, who believe that enough to tell their story. Well, not quite, never! While climbing a mountain, has won the gold medal, or eliminate the daunting odds are great achievements, Your story is not enough, if it helps the audience to be successful. There should be an encouragement to live the story would be about helping them create their own extraordinary story based on teaching techniques that can help them achieve their goals. Make sure you have some substance in his speech. Do you have a take-away that people can make right now? Are you a new perspective / idea / innovation that can transform their lives for the better?

3. All CEOs. Viewers are fed up with presentations, no matter how colorful, futuristic may be. Simple as that. And look at the speakers, which are very dependent on the Power Point. Understand that flows in the path of personal connection to the public and tend to have more speakers that value as a crutch to the public. Do you understand how much more powerful and effective you can be when you realize that when the speaker - you have a view. Instead of reading the screen, the connection is in front of people. Ask questions, interact, participate, and invite them to the whole experience. People will appreciate your candor, your openness, and performance that makes them, instead of talking in a box.

4. Thinking outside the box around the box and the box! Great speakers surprisingly fresh, unique ideas and creative. Even having a simple idea or concept and understand how to participate in the most unusual of ways. Never lose again in the current, old stories, or information that was heard repeatedly. Instead, take advantage of existing experience and challenges his audience to be innovative and let go of the past. They are also very flexible when it comes to adding data, analogies and examples of the present, even at the last minute, so you can give your audience the most current information. Another reason that adapts to your way, you're stuck with the presentation is and is not easy to change, adapt or add new information, if the situation requires.

5. Do your homework. Ahhh ... differentiation of here! A great presenter knows about them, their products and their audience like the palm of your hand, and who took the time to do research. Even the best theories in the world have to adapt to the audience. Learn all you can about the company, the public and the culture of people who believe its message. Then knit all this in a message that says: "The President understands exactly how I feel and think." Thus offering an experience that is new to the group, which is essential for success, time to market, adapted to the organization.

6th entertain YOU. Before you panic, it does not mean you have to be an actor. Although a great sense of humor goes a long way awful please even the most difficult public. I think you must be full of life, energy and passion for your subject and your audience. There is absolutely nothing worse than a boring speaker. Do not use a podium, if humanly possible. Or take notes on it and get away whenever possible. Be excited or act excited, even if you are afraid of death. Your passion, or lack thereof, will determine the energy of the audience. They count on you to set the tone. My research shows that, of course, if you want people to learn, easing just open their minds and let go enough to adapt to new ideas - you have to let your energy shine through From the moment you take the stage. If you can deliver - you're on the right track.
